Works on Paper Exhibition

Works on Paper Exhibition

Opening Reception On Friday March 4th from 7-10pm

Las Manos Gallery presents an exhibition of eleven artists exploring drawing, painting, printmaking and installation works on paper.

John Mosher uses drawings and collage elements to transcribe visual texts messages sent to him by friends. The end result is a humorous and often quirky narrative.

Lindsey Clark- Ryan’s pieces work on a similar quirky visual plane. Clark-Ryan uses her memories of growing up in close proximity to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. She creates outer space tales filled with an absurdist sensibility.

Michael McGuire taps into his architectural training and plays expertly with perspective. The results yield beautiful drawings of grids and cage-like structures. These works are both elegant and sophisticated.

These are just a few of the many artists featured in the exhibition. Here is a list of the artists participating in “Works on Paper” this month at Las Manos Gallery. John Mosher, Matthew Best, Ginny Sykes, Lindsey Clark-Ryan, Ben Rosenburg, Michael McGuire, Eric Garcia, Mark Pease, Christine Wuenschel, and Blinn Jacobs.

This group show runs March 4th – April 1st, 2011.
