We Are Still Here

Both Michelle and Michael keep moving forward with new art and good social distancing practices. Although we both work at home these days we visit the gallery regularly. There is some business, Michael is preparing to ship a large commission he recently completed, all transportation done via bicycle, at least to the Fed Ex location.

The gallery is full of art, some of which is visible from the sidewalk.

Jessie Mott - New Drawings - Friday, August 23, 2019 - 6 to 9pm

   On Friday, August 23rd Las Manos will be showing new drawings by Jessie Mott. Please join us from 6 to 9pm for a reception to celebrate Jessie's new work. 
   Jessie once again engages her exceptional drawings skills to summon 'creatures' that evoke whimsy and nightmares in the same drawing. Her use of mixed media and her skillful color sense is always impressive. It will be a casual presentation. The drawings will be unframed and tacked on the wall but the range of inventiveness is astonishing.

Andersonville Arts Weekend Friday Night Party—September 14th 2018

They have moved Andersonville Arts Week up a month this year. The opening night party is this coming Friday, September 14th from 6 until 9pm. Please join us for a little cocktail and some new work from both Michelle and Michael. Andersonville First Friday - December 1, 2017

Las Manos will be open this coming Friday evening, December 1, 2017, from 5 to 8 pm in conjunction with Andersonville First Friday events. New work from Michelle, Michael, Brian Schutz, and we still have the Jessie Mott drawings in the gallery. Michelle will be here, but she talks about a return trip to Puerto Rico in December to help her mother. This might be a last chance to see her before the Holidays.

Andersonville Arts Weekend - Opening Night, Friday, October 9,2015

Las Manos will be participating in the 13th annual Andersonville Arts Weekend, October 9,10 and 11. Please join us for an opening reception/party on Friday, October 9 to celebrate the kick off. All of Andersonville will be hosting artists throughout the weekend and Friday night is 'The Night of a Thousand Parties', where most business showcase an artist and put on a little party. At Las Manos Michelle promises a new series of recycled wood pieces, and maybe an installation. Brian Schutz continues his exploration of abstracted architectural models, now encompassing darker tones into his paper and frames. Michael is working on a series of 12 x 18 inch panels in black and white, and will do some crazy installation out of those. The gallery will look amazing and the back courtyard is still very green, perfect place for a cocktail. Scout, around the corner, is planning to have two very talented artists, and they always put on a good party, so there are two fun events to get your evening started.  Did I mention how many new restaurants have opened in the neighborhood this summer? Hope you can make it to Andersonville and Las Manos on Friday, October 9. See you at 7pm.
